How to add a DNS record in cPanel and WHM

Introduction

To add a DNS record in WHM, you can use the DNS Zone Manager interface, and in cPanel, you can use the Zone Editor interface.

Procedure

Add a DNS record in WHM:

1. Log into WHM.
2. Navigate to “DNS Zone Manager.”
3. Click “Manage” to the far right of your domain.
4. Click the drop-down menu on the “+ ADD RECORD” button and select the desired record type.
5. Fill in the desired values for the new DNS record and click “Add Record.”

Add a DNS record in cPanel:

1. Log into cPanel.
2. Navigate to “Zone Editor.”
3. Click “Manage” to the far right of your domain.
4. Click the drop-down menu on the “+ ADD RECORD” button and select the desired record type.
5. Fill in the desired values for the new DNS record and click “Add Record.”
