Follow these steps to create an FTP user on cPanel<\/a>:-<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1<\/span>:-<\/strong><\/span> Log into your cPanel account.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 2<\/span>:-<\/span><\/strong> Under the\u00a0Files<\/strong>\u00a0section, click\u00a0FTP Accounts<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 3<\/span>:- <\/strong><\/span>Under the\u00a0Add FTP Account<\/strong>\u00a0section, fill in the\u00a0Login<\/strong>\u00a0field with the desired username.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 4<\/span>:<\/strong><\/span>– Select a domain name from the\u00a0Domain<\/strong> drop-down menu. The cPanel FTP account username will be the combination of the name in the Login field and the Domain menu below it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 5<\/span>:-<\/strong><\/span> Enter a password into the\u00a0Password<\/strong>\u00a0field. Please note that the cPanel system will evaluate your password and show the indication on the\u00a0Strength<\/strong>\u00a0bar. The bar will turn green if your password is considered strong. Click\u00a0Password Generator<\/strong>\u00a0if you need help creating a strong password<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Step 6<\/span>:- <\/span><\/strong>Re-enter your password in the\u00a0Password (Again)<\/strong>\u00a0field to confirm it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 7<\/span>:-<\/span> <\/strong>Enter the account\u2019s home directory into the\u00a0Directory<\/strong>\u00a0field. Here\u2019s where you determine the user\u2019s level of access. For example,\u00a0public_html<\/strong>\u00a0as the home directory means the user can access any directory and file inside the\u00a0public_html<\/strong>\u00a0folder. However, the user won\u2019t be able to access folders outside the\u00a0public_html\u00a0<\/strong>directory.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 8<\/span>:- <\/strong><\/span>Set a\u00a0Quota<\/strong>\u00a0for the FTP account, or select\u00a0Unlimited<\/strong>. This determines the maximum amount of bandwidth an FTP user can use.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 9<\/span>:-<\/span> <\/strong>Click\u00a0Create FTP Account.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Note<\/span>:- <\/span><\/strong><\/a>Scroll down to see your new account listed under the\u00a0FTP Accounts section.
